Two hours later, Ophelia was hitting her head against the wall- as she had been doing for almost 30 minutes now- Cassandra was asleep on a nearby couch, and Dawn was still typing.

Click.

“Okay, I’ve got it!” Dawn said suddenly, waking up Cassie and causing Ophie to look up from the wall in a dazed state. “I typed the reply to Sapphire!”

The redhead looked over her friends shoulder and read aloud:

“Hi, Saph!

Well, we’re coming to your party. Bye!

-Dawne Renee Schmidt, Ophelia Myna Crobe, and Cassandra Dorothy Charm,”

“You wrote out our full names why?” Ophie asked, confused, stumbling behind them before she fell onto the ground, massaging her forehead.

“I thought it would look cool. More official,” Dawn said proudly.

“Please don’t tell me it took two hours to type that,” Cassie said slowly.

“Nope, I just played World of Warcraft for a bit and then typed the reply,” the girl said as she hit send. Suddenly, the three heard footsteps…

“Hi girls, having fun?” Dawns mother, Ms. Schmidt, asked, walking in. Instantly, all three had a panic attack and Dawn jumped in front of the computer.

“OF COURSE IT’S NOT MYSPACE!! WHY WOULD WE BE ON MYSPACE?! IT’S NOT MYSPACE, I SWEAR!” she screamed, hyperventilating. She was still covered in paint and a giant sweatdrop went down her forehead.

Ms. Schmidt nodded slowly and walked away, suddenly very concerned.

“Whew, that was close,”

Ophelia sighed.

Sapphire opened up her inbox later that day to find over 1,000 replies. “Oh boy,” she said, holding her forehead, “This will take awhile…”

She then came across Dawns message and realized she had never known Ophies, Cassies, or Dawns middle names.

Then she remembered Dawn hated her. The day previous she had been flicking globs of red paint at her in art class.

Shrugging, the girl went to the next message.

CCCCCC

A week passed way too slowly for Sapphires liking, but she lived through it.

Her parents had left for New York yesterday- they had gone with the art committee to try and set up the cover of the Jonas’ new album, which wasn’t even named yet- and now, on Friday, she figured there was no one to stop her from skipping school. Her parents knew about the party, of course, but they were oblivious to its magnitude, and that was why the girl had had to skip school today- she needed to set everything up. The house was large enough for over 1,000 people, but having enough food would be a problem.

So far, she had managed to set up a massive refreshment area in the kitchen filled with bowls of sugary cereals- without the milk, of course, this was finger food- chips and cheetos, chocolates and sour candies, even tiny wiener hot dogs and little sandwiches. The kitchen was packed.

She figured she couldn’t mark any area of the house off-limits, there were too many people. She’d set up chairs and towels around the pool and was now relaxing on a leather couch upstairs in the TV room. Working was so much… work.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps.

The girl bolted upright. She didn’t have any siblings; her parents were out of town… who could possibly be here? She ran out into the hall.

Immediately she saw Kray McGuire in the hallway.

Both girls screamed.

“What are you doing here?!” Sapphire demanded. Kray wore a dark green sweatshirt and tight black jeans, her dark hair was up in a ponytail, but still hit her mid back. Kray shrugged, still surprised, “You know I always skip school on Fridays.”

“But what are you doing here?” the blonde demanded.

“Hey, wait…” Kray paused, not listening to the question. “It’s noon. Shouldn’t you be in Geometry right now?”

“I… uh… skipped,” At this, Sapphire turned red. “Well, I needed to prepare for the party! Besides, it doesn’t even start until six, what are you doing here?” she asked again.

Kray shrugged again. “I usually hang out here on Fridays. You have the best surround-sound system.”

“WHAT?! How did you get in?! This place is locked!”

The dark-haired girl reached into her pocket and pulled out a key. “You always leave this under the mat,”

“How long have you been coming here?” Sapphire asked; annoyed with herself for leaving the key in the most obvious place it could be.

“Since school started.”

“That was SIX MONTHES AGO!”

“Heh, yeah, it was…”

Sapphire groaned. “I cannot believe you!” she yelled. The girl stormed back into the TV room. Kray followed.

“Hey, you should pay me for protecting you all the time at school…”

Sapphire screamed into a pillow.

There was another tick of the clock and Sapphire groaned. It was 6:31 already, and no one was here. 31 minutes into the party, and all Sapphire had was Kray McGuire eating popcorn downstairs, watching Scrubs. Why was no one else here yet?

She had over 1,000 RVSPs- did they all suddenly cancel? Did they think it wasn’t cool to come anymore?

Suddenly the doorbell rang. Sapphire nearly had a heart attack and tripped over herself, nearly falling down the stairs and skidding to a stop right in front of the door just in time. She didn’t want to seem too anxious.

She was suddenly disappointed to see Ophelia and Gretchen behind the glass.

Sapphire opened the door. “Why’s she here?” she demanded, pointing at Cherry angrily, who flinched. Saph didn’t want losers at her sweet sixteen.

Well,” Ophelia said. She walked into the foyer and began to act out what had happened.

“You see, I was just walking, minding my own business-“ she skipped around for a moment, randomly- “when suddenly I saw Gretchen, and there was this coyote-

Sapphire groaned.

“So we took a stick, and fought the animals with our bare hands! And the coyote ran off in fear and got hit by this car, which sucked- I mean, there was blood and guts everywhere-

“Seriously, it was disgusting,” Gretchen agreed. Sapphire couldn’t tell if they were lying or not, but she knew that at times Ophelia was a compulsive liar, and thus didn’t trust the story.

“You’re not answering my question,” the girl said firmly, “And where are Cassie and Dawn? I thought they’d come with you,”

Ophelia opened her mouth to reply, and Saph added: “Don’t say they were eaten by the coyote,”

Actually-“ Gretchen started when the doorbell rang again and Sapphire turned around to see Cassie and Dawn at the door. “Oh,”

Cassie looked annoyed, “Why did you blow up that sign? And then run away?”

“What sign? I thought you mentioned a coyote!” Sapphire argued, getting confused.

“Ooh, coyote! Roadrunner!” Dawn said randomly and Cherry smacked her forehead.

Well, we blew up a sign, but then we panicked and ran because it was your sign- that ‘For Sale’ thing in front of your house- but we figured you’d get mad, so we decided not to tell you,” Ophie finished.

Cassie groaned and Cherry slapped the wavy-blonde. “Oops! I told, heh, heh…”

Sapphire was about to scream, when she realized what the sign had said.

“For sale? I’m not moving.”

Nobody listened to her, the other four caught up in their own issues. “Where’d your coyote story come from?” Dawn asked.

Ophie shrugged. “I thought it would sound cool, and Cherry went with it, so…”

“But we blew up a sign! Not a coyote!”

“I didn’t say we blew up the coyote! It got hit by a car!”

“You killed the coyote?!” Dawn demanded.

“No! It’s a fictional coyote!”

Sapphire groaned again. Her ‘friends’ often made up weird stories and ended up confusing themselves.

But that wasn’t her problem right now. The truth was, they had blown up a sign, a sign saying her house was being sold. As more party guests began to arrive, Sapphire was left wondering…

Why hadn’t her parents told her she was moving?

Natasha was panicking.

The time read 6:54 PM. The Jonas’ limo drove around the neighborhood, trying to find Sapphire Moonstones address. Natasha sat in the back with the other three.

“Oh God, how many people will be at the party?! What about fangirls? What about Kevin fangirls?! OH MY…” she paused, “…GOSH,” she said, so as not to offend, “THEY’LL KILL ME!” she shrieked.

Kevin, sitting next to her, put his arm around her shoulder comfortingly, and Natasha felt reassured for a brief second, but even Kevin Jonas can’t stop mobs. “Trust me, Nat, they won’t kill you. They’ll just get jealous, they always do,”

Extremely jealous,” Joe muttered, thinking about killer fangirls. Natasha didn’t hear and Kevin shot his brother a look: Not helping!

Joie shrugged as the slick limousine pulled into an abnormally long, paved driveway.

Suddenly, Nick noticed something.

“Is that driveway made of bronze?

Everyone looked out the window and noticed that the driveway was shimmering a copper color, made of pure bronze. Kevin rolled his eyes, “Next thing you know the grass’ll be made of emeralds.”

The car jolted to a stop. “No one’s outside,” Joe added, “Maybe we can just slide in before we get mob-“ he cut himself off when he saw the look on Kevins face, “I mean, before we GET OUR PARTY ON!” he covered.

Nick smacked his forehead.

The walkway was made of bronze as well, which actually complimented the house, if not unusual. The house was white, the grass dark green, and the bronze walkway almost meshed the two colors together, creating a beautiful- if not somewhat heavenly- home-look. Heavenly? For a moment, Nick was freaked out. If he was on a heavenly walkway, and going to heaven was death… he had a strange sense that this party would be more dangerous then it appeared.

Crazy.

He shook the creepy idea out of his head.

The group approached the mahogany door and rang.

There was the sound of shrieking, screaming. Oh God, how many people are already there? It sounds like several hundred!

The door was pried open. A tall, slender blonde screamed.

“NICK!”

They weren’t expecting Sapphire of all people to fan-mob them. The girl jumped onto the younger boy, squealing and clutching.

The look on Nicks face screamed: Help! Natasha felt bad for him. First the Miley mess, and now this…

“HE’S MINE!”

A colorful black-haired girl ran at Sapphire and from somewhere inside someone yelled, “Dawn!”

Another person pried both girls off. “Sorry about that,” Cherry said, “Just… come in…”

Suddenly all three boys were fan-glomped.

“Back off! He’s mine!” Natasha yelled at three girls who had tried to claim Kevin.

Autumn Rush didn’t care.

She didn’t care at all how many people had bothered to show up. In fact, the only reason she even thought of coming to this party was the mirrors.

She knew that all rich homes had mirrors, lots of them, so their narcissistic inhabitants could admire themselves even more, in all its expensive glory. The Moonstones home was no different. She had dragged the sorority girls to the party with her, and they needed a special mirror to summon Mary Worth.

Again.

Maybe they were crazy, or just… troubled? Maybe that was it. No one really knew what was up with these girls. Collected on the largest bathroom on the first floor, they prepared themselves for their best summon yet. The bathroom set the perfect mood- a massive mirror lined one of the walls and the rest was made of tile- turquoise and diamond, which reflected the candles beautifully. Apparently the Moonstones liked gems.

This party also gave them their second ‘ingredient’ for the summon- a sacrifice. They only needed someone who didn’t believe in Mary so they could do it traditionally, or at least as traditionally as they knew.

This was a main bathroom, so it was likely someone would come in soon. Of course, they’d probably be full of pee or something, Ana, one of the girls thought, but it’s better then using our own… like last time… she thought, remembering Cherry, the girl who they had done it with last time.

Cherry had used to be in their group. But the girl was scarred for life after what they did to her. Ana shrugged, not caring. She grabbed a tube of red lipstick and scrawled ‘666’ onto the mirror.

Now all they had to do was wait.

CCCCCC

“This is awesome!” Natasha danced with Kevin in the living room- although by its size, it could easily be a ballroom or even a gym- music playing in the background. Surprisingly, it was ‘The best of both worlds’ by Hannah Montana.

Natasha remembered Miley had yet to arrive. There were so many people already that the place was packed, and it wasn’t even eight yet.

She didn’t mind.

Neither of them could really dance- well, ballroom dance, for all the good it did. For the most part the couple was just attracting fans. There wasn’t much room to dance with the hoard of fangirls begging, “CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?!!!”

“Uh, sure,” Kevin said, signing another paper. People were starting to hoard Natasha too. Despite being new to the music business, the girl was talented, and people picked up on that fast.

Okay, if this is what my life’s gonna be like once I really hit it big, I’m not sure I really want to be a celebrity… she thought, signing another one. What am I thinking? Of course I do! She giggled slightly at the thought. Fans were great.

“What are you laughing about?” Kevin asked as the fan-mob started to dissipate, but only slightly. Natasha smiled.

“Nothing, really. Just…”

“…randomly giggling? Nice,” Kevin said and laughed. Suddenly, he looked up and spotted someone.

Aaron.

Natasha, distracted signing another random autograph, didn’t notice at first. Kevin knew who Aaron was, though most other people didn’t. Aaron was the one who had abused his girlfriend a few years ago.

Aaron Cruz: Tall, with short brown hair jelled up in little spikes and brown eyes, intimidating. How old was he now… 20? 21? Why was he of all people invited?

Aaron didn’t see them. He was busy trying to attract girls, showing off his biceps. “Idiot…” Kevin muttered. He gave all guys a bad name.

Natasha looked up. “Oh… s- I mean, crap,” she muttered, low enough for the fans not to hear, and trying not to panic while still in public.

She turned to Kevin.

“I’ll be back,”

Natasha Tullidge sped off, not wanting Aaron to spot her, not right now, anyway. She dove into a random bathroom, thinking the same thing Kevin had: Why did they invite him?

She looked up and saw a group of girls, all dressed in back and red, standing next to the mirror.

“Uh… hi…” Natasha trailed off, confused. This wasn’t expected. “…what are you doing?” It was obvious they weren’t in the bathroom because they needed to use it. She noticed ‘666’ was scrawled on the mirror and shuddered.

“Summoning Bloody Mary. Wanna help?” one asked, way too sweetly.

“Uh… no thanks… I’ll be going now…” Natasha nodded and backed out.

So much for finding refuge there.

Suddenly she ran into another group of fans, who screamed, “OH MY JONAS, ARE YOU DATING KEVIN?!”

CCCCCC

Ding!

The lights were already on, as seen through the windows, and music played so loudly that even outside, Miley could hear. Clearly the party was already full-swing. It was time some celebrities showed up.

Miley rang again, her limo waiting down the street to pick her up at any time (if at all necessary) and a blonde opened up. That’s so not Sapphire, she thought, having seen Sapphires pictures on myspace, she’s taller.

“OH MY GOSH, IT’S…” Ophelia stopped, “Never mind. It’s just Miley.”

Miley was confused for a second until Ophelia slammed the door in her face.

“Hey!” Miley was suddenly scared. Was this one of her haters? How many people really did hate her? She thought she’d find fans here, not enemies!

“HELLO?!”

Miley rang on the door again, massaging her nose, which had been hit by the door. Someone else opened up. A girl with long black hair screamed bloody murder and made to slam the door when a tall redhead wrenched the knob out of her grasp, “Dawn!”

Suddenly the second girl turned to see Miley. “Oh. Hi.” She said blandly, not caring if Miley was here.

Miley walked in, carefully. “Where’s Sapphire?” she asked, already annoyed with the three girls.

Ophelia shrugged. Miley sighed; this is so not what I had in mind!

CCCCCC

Cassandra Charm wandered around, looking for a bathroom. So, Miley had shown up. So what? Cassie’d seen how Miley acted in real life, everyone had. She wasn’t eager to meet Miley at all, thought she was interested in those Jonas Brothers… they are hot…

She pushed open a door and saw a group of goth-looking girls clad in blacks and rose red. “Uh, is this the bathroom…?” she asked suddenly. Of course it was, there was even a shower in here! She recognized only one of the girls, Autumn Rush, and realized who must be here.

Oh crap, the sorority girls, crap, I’m out of here!

“Bye!” she said quickly, and spun around, when the Rush’s voice stopped her.

“Hey, do you believe in Mary Worth?”

Cassandra rolled her eyes. “Of course not. It’s all made up,”

The girls exchanged a glance.

“Do you wanna help us with something?” Autumn asked, walking forward. Cassie thought. No, I definitely don’t! “Help us… prove a theory?”

“What theory?” the logical girl asked suspiciously.

“Whether or not Bloody Mary exists.” Rush smiled. “Trust me; we just need a nonbeliever to help us,”

Some of the other girls nodded, and Cassandra noticed they were starting to collect around the door. Oh crap, I’m trapped in here! Cassie had a mini-panic attack.

“Uh… sure…”

CCCCCC

Kray was on the railing, effectively proving the party had gone insane.

The railing of the second floor mainly served as a protective fence so that people wouldn’t fall the thirty or so feet into the foyer below. Kray took the railing as a balance beam, already halfway across. There were only two ways to fall for her. She could fall to the left, down five feet to the carpeted floor of the second-story hallway, or she could fall right, thirty feet into a crowd of people.

She didn’t do either. “So, who’s joining me up here?” she asked. “It’s not that scary,” she pointed out.

Sapphire, in the foyer below, looked up and screamed.

Not because Kray was on the railing, actually, it was because someone had hooked her favorite Prada purse onto the chandelier. How did they do that? was an irrelevant question, the sad truth was that her party was out of control.

If she was to look back onto the situation only a day later, she would have said that was completely controlled compared to what happened later.

CCCCCC

A party, a princess, a serial killer. Who’s who?

It didn’t matter.

Gavin Davis had many aliases. To a lot of people, he was Troy Acosta. To some, he was Leo Acosta, and to a special, select few, he was bloodandtears308.

Posing as an angsty teenager felt like his job. But Davis had no job anymore. The real Gavin Davis was dead, killed by murder a few years ago. Gavin- the new Gavin- liked to take peoples identities when he killed them, like a monster in a childhood fairytale. Troy Acosta was who he really was. Troy was on the run from the death penalty, and Leo, his brother… Leo was also dead. Did that really matter? His new hobby was to pick up random teenagers on the internet, get to know them personally, then emotionally torture them when he killed them. The government had never been able to arrest this man.

It was almost… funny how gullible people were these days. This house looks expensive, Gavin thought, Maybe I'll just take a few things before…

Gavin Davis was a sadistic man. This place was teeming with people easy to kill. And he liked that. He wanted to cause a commotion, he wanted to see people panic, he wanted to see chaos.

Might as well set them off now, he thought. Get them to freak out and then pick them off, slowly. He saw no need to kill everybody. Most of these people were worthless. He wanted to get special people, people that other civilians would panic about. Something that would send CNN whirling.

Sapphire.

Miley.

Maybe a few more…

Nick? Joe? Kevin? Who else? He shrugged and decided to 'play' a bit, kill a few randomly. In the massivity of people here, no one would notice just who threw the knife.

CCCCCC

"I don't believe in Mary Worth, I don't believe in Mary Worth…"

Blindfolded, Cassie was spun around thirteen or so times, she wasn't counting. The other girls were chanting something inaudible. Suddenly Autumn stopped spinning her and shrieked to the mirror-

"I killed your baby, Mary Worth!"
