We're doomed...

This is my story section. I'm a writing obsessive. Mostly I'm just going to put up oneshots, or maybe previews... or... uh...

Anyway, if you bothered to show up and read anything here previously, which I have now removed (but still have en file) and you want to read it, just tell me and I'll email you or something.

Preview to Song of Something: Insanity

Hi, I'm back and with a preview. Song of Something: Insanity is the third book in the series. I haven't fully written it yet, but here's a preview to one of the scenes in the first chapter.

I'm not sure if I'll go through with it, though.

"Essanopheles?"

A weary girl stood at the mouth of Essanopheles' cave-temple, tired and still bloody. A wind blew, although this didn't affect Rondana, already inside the chamber. The damp feel to it was already getting to her.

A pearly white figure with beautiful African features, hair pulled back and a grey dress swirling at her feet, appeared.

"So you've come back."

It wasn't a question, but a statement.

"I... I need your help," Rondana felt sick. The battle from last night was getting to her. She shuddered and fell to the floor.

"So I see." Essanopheles walked closer. Grey morning light lit up the area. Suddenly, the goddess sensed something about the girl on the floor.

"There are demons inside you,"

"Ashelle saw them too,"

Essanopheles evaluated the gash on Rondanas chest and how weak she appeared. That was a physical concern. It couldn't have been why she showed up.

"What is it you want, then?"

"I want you to help me..."

"And how is that?"

"The demons..."

She wanted to get rid of the demons. "You want to purge yourself, don't you?" Essanopheles asked. She stood over the girl.

"Yes..."

Essanopheles closed her eyes. Sure, goddesses could do anything. But Rondana Almanikets didn't know the complications of purging.

And Rondana owed her. Actually, their entire island owed this particular goddess. After all, Essanopheles had been the one who revived Ashelle Queneture, who saved the region. Rondana had only brought her the problem. And now she was back and wanted more help. This girl would never get off her back.

"Fine,"

Essanopheles held her hand out above her.

It was best Rondana wouldn't know what was to happen next.

A white light filled the chamber, not just the immediate area but the whole cave, stretching back through the miles of cavern. Rondana felt herself floating, and saw a bright light-

Wait, wasn't that what happened to people when they died?

She wrestled out of the force holding her and fell to the floor.

"You're going to kill me, aren't you?!"
